Vietnam, Bac Giang
(Frederik Lampert, VUT Brno)
Okolí místa praxe: Although Bac Giang province is not the area that I would recommend for tourism, there are still some nice places. I would definitely recommend renting a motorbike around the surrounding villages. In about 20 minutes ride from the city, there's a nice hike around the Thiền Viện Trúc Lâm Phượng Hoàng temple. A bit further away, around 1 hour drive by motorbike there is a wonderful place to ...
Spojené arabské emiráty, Sharjah
(Jan Bolcek, VUT Brno)
O firmě: My official supervisor was Prof. Rami Al-Ruzouq, who was really great and kind. However, I spend most of the time with Eng. Mohamed Barakat Gibril, who was simply amazing. I enjoyed working with him; he was the main reason my work was full-filling, exciting and productive.
Japonsko, Tokyo
(Simona Dubcová, VŠCHT Praha)
Náplň práce: My work tasks were just to create simulations. I was supposed to think of my own reasearch idea. Because I have chemical engineering background I thought I could simulate mixing reactor. My colleage was concerned with the speed of the code. So even in one lab the tasks can very a lot. I had senpai (American girl Rose). She was helping me throughout the internship. And I had meetings with the ...
Polsko, Kraków
(Ivan Kapusta, Masaryk University)
Přínos praxe: I met a lot of foreigners and made a great friendships. They will show you their way of life and you can learn a lot from them. You can enjoy other countries and experience local cuisine. In work, you can learn new ways of aproaching the problem and you will find out if this is what you want to do in you future. You will better you English skills. Also, you can try to learn local language.
Japonsko, Furukawa, Osaki city, Miyagi
(Martin Tavoda, VUT Brno)
Místní kuchyně: I highly recommend eating as much ramen, sushi, okonomiyaki, curry, and others as possible. I'm missing the Japanese cuisine very much. There are plenty of restaurants in Furukawa and especially in Sendai for a great price.
Japonsko, Tokyo
(Marie Kaňková, VŠCHT Praha)
Sport a kultura: Get prepared for walking a lot. I personally couldn’t go to the gym because of my tattoos. Tattoos are tabu in japan and you will not be allowed to go to onsen (spa) for example. But even if you have some, people are still pretty helpful and friendly. You will just get some weird looks. Study some of the basic rules in Japan before coming here, since it can be a little overwhelming at the ...
