Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
There was just one organised event at the date of my arrival, when I met other IAESTE members - mostly bolivian students. The administrator of IAESTE Bolivia was in contact with me for the whole period of the internship by Messenger, but unfortunately we could not meet in person.
Meeting other foreign students
I have met just bolivian students on the organised meeting. Last week I have met one student from Poland, the IAESTE administrator asked me to meet her and show her a little bit the city (if there were more foreigners, I would appreciate to meet them, but there were nobody else).
Sport and culture
Mainly hikes and walking in the nature, there was also a nice possibility for jogging just next to the workplace. There was always a possibility to dance somewhere. Every second week there were some culture events on the main square. There are just a few historical monuments nearby the workplace, it is necessary to travel a lot through whole the country to see everything from Bolivia's culture.
Food, local specialties
Local specialities are the soup Locro with rice and chicken, than Masako made by meat and bananas, corn or rice. Almost everything is made by bananas, corn or rice. Especially banana is cooked in many different ways and almost all are delicious. Otherwise local people like to eat a lot of meat, especialy Churrasco (grilled beef and pork) and chicken prepared in many different ways. They have also special types of bread filled with cheese or meat, it is called Cuñape, Empanada or Salteña.
Other information
Possibilites to communicate with the Czech Republic
It is too expensive to call or send messages by my home mobile operator, I used Messenger and Skype to talk to my friends and family (there were many places with wi-fi connection).
Recommendations for students who will go to the same place
Be sure that you can speak Spanish well, nobody there is speaking English (neither other languages). Do not walk the city alone, especially at night (especially girls, and especially the white ones). Use the Uber app instead of waiting for taxi on the street. If you want to use the public transportation, find someone to accompany.
What not to forget with you
Repelent, shoes for hiking, clothes to dance, handheld fan, adaptor for outlets
Benefits of the internship
Recognizing very different type of lifestyle, culture, people, practising Spanish, experience with work in another type of hotel
Cooperation with IAESTE in the foreign country
Very good, the administrator was very helpful and carring
Overall experience with IAESTE
Very good

Other comments
I appreciate the experience, the program is really worthy, just I would prefer a little less administration. There are too many documents to provide and many times I had to fill the same information again and again.
