Location of the place
Dresden is situated in a valley on the River Elbe, near the border with the Czech Republic. It is perfectly available from Prague (2h).
City
Dresden is the capital city and, after Leipzig, the second-largest city of the Free State of Saxony in Germany.
City lies on both banks of the Elbe River.
The city is divided into two parts.
Altstadt is typical of its historic center.
Neustadt is known for nightlife and excellent restaurants.

Work description
I did not have a specific project at university.

Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
The pickup at the station was fine, without any problems.
I met IAESTE members regularly on Thursdays.
IAESTE organized a lot of events and trips for us. Every other day something was happening.

Meeting other foreign students
Approximately 90% of foreign students lived in the same building. I met them every day.
Sport and culture
On certain days, museums in the city can be visited for free.
During summer holidays, you can register in sports courses at the University.

Food, local specialties
Almost any place you can enjoy a kebab. For me personally best in Neustadt - near Albert Platz - the green Kebab house.
You can find the same food in the store as we do for the same money.
Buy beer in the supermarkets ;)
