Location of the place
Lodz is located in the middle of Poland. Its third biggest city in Poland.
City
This city was famous because of textil industry, but now you can find a lot of interesting museums. The city, however, is internationally known for its National Film School, a cradle for the most renowned Polish actors and directors, including Andrzej Wajda and Roman Polanski. Its not tourist city, but you can also visit big shopping centre Manufaktura or party street Piotrkowska.
Surroundings (possible trips, ...)
Lodz is strategic city, I can recommend to travel by Polski bus, because its really cheap. I visited Wroclav, Poznan, Gdansk, Torun and Warsaw.
Employer
Employer
I was working for company itur.pl. I had great colleagues, every wednesday we had pizza day, so everyone got pizza for free and we had very often fifa tournaments. Sometimes we had some english lessons with lector from the USA.
Work description
I was responsible for selling advertisment website noclegowo.pl in Czech and Slovak republic. So called and I sent e-mails every day. Sometimes I translated some articles from English to Czech language.
Salary (sufficient for local conditions?)
1500 PLN - it was enough for almots everyone, but I spent a lots of because of party and I bought a lots of clothes.
Language requirements
B1-B2, I talked with costumers almost just only in Czech, sometimes in English, but with my colleagues I had to talk in english.
Accommodation (price, who provided it)
Price about 100 PLN every month, so it was reallly cheap. Accomodation provided IAESTE. I lived in Hostel Molo. I lived with very cool guy from India and room was big. Accomodation was situated about 40 minutes from work, but I traveled by bycycle. Once we had small problem, because next to me lived potential terorist, so I had interview with police.
Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
I travelled by bus to Lodz bus station and there was IAESTE member waiting for me. She also showed me work place. Lc itself did not organise a lot, except one international evening.
Meeting other foreign students
All of us lived at same hostel and we were really closed friends. We met a lot of people from other Lodz lc and we arranged meetings ourselves. Almots every weekend I visited some summer reception, organised by IAESTE Poland.
Sport and culture
Lodz it's really cool way for cycling. Because of app next bike you can cycle almots for free. In Lodz there are lot of museums so if you are in to that, visit them. For beer we visited Piotrkowska.
Food, local specialties
Prices similar like in Czech Republic. Food was better quality then in Czech Republic. I can
recommend visit jewish, african or pancake restaurant in Piotrkowska.

Its not beautiful historical city, but you will love it, because there are a lots of international students.
What not to forget with you

Benefits of the internship
Improving english skills, meet a lots of cool people.
Cooperation with IAESTE in the foreign country
Very bad, they hardly communicate with us. When we had some trouble with police, they havent helped us, but they picked up me from bus station and showed me workplace.
Overall experience with IAESTE
