Location of the place
Bosnia and Hercegovina is really warm country with 4 milion people. Mostar is capitle city of Herzegovina. Is about 100 km far from sarajevo and about 120 km far from Makarska
City
Mostar is one of the biggest city of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Inhabited over 100 000 people. In this region is really shiny and hot weather. In this city is a lot of diferences between rich and poor people.
Surroundings (possible trips, ...)
The one of best trip is to watherfalls Kravice. You can spend there a day of swimming and exploring the watherfalls. You can also go to the Coratia to Makarska or Dubrovnik. There is possible to visit Sarajevo, but when I visited this place I expected more.

I was working on the Mostar University on faculty close to city. I had to take bus there, because it was about 7 km far. On my return way I usually hitchhiked. It was no probleme thare, a lot of students do this. The people in work were nice on me, there was not much work to do.
Work description
I extracted essential oil from Hercegovian Imortalle (oily plant) by wather steam and after that analyze it on GCMS
Salary (sufficient for local conditions?)
600 KM (weekly 150 KM)- I have to pay 250 KM for acomadation. Another 350 KM is enaugh fo accommodation but not for trips and journy to BiH from CR
Language requirements
For work in laboratory is English B1 enauh. Few people there can speak English, other speaks Coratia so Czech people can understand a few words.
Accommodation (price, who provided it)
The dorms provided by IAESTE. It was for 250 KM. It was amazing there. PASWORD on Student wifi is: student123. It was amazing there. Everything new.
Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
The IAESTE of Mostar was amazing! They picked us on trainstation. They cared about us all the time. Thay taked us on interesting places.
Meeting other foreign students
There were about 6 trainees.
Sport and culture
There is really nice historical centrum and river Neretva. The weather is not so great for sport because there is about 36-42 degrees hole day.
Food, local specialties
The food is same like in Coratia or Turkey. A lot of Kebab or Cevapi. They do not it for a lunch so much and they have bigger meal in the afternoon.

Recommendations for students who will go to the same place
This place is not so difficult for work. People there are really friendly. Mostar as we heared is much better place for social life than Sarajevo.
The prices of bus tickets depends on leaving time!! It could be half or double price!

What not to forget with you
To take some staff for cooking (knife, pot or plate and spoon). Ther is really usefull to take little bottle of detergent for clothing.
