University campus is located in small village Karunya Nagar inbetween farm fields and beautiful mountains. In village are all shops and services you could require: restaurants, ATMs, barber, post office, various shops with almost everything. I enjoyed much that campus is in relatively small and calm village and not crowded rush city.

Close surroundings to Karunya are mostly farm fields. You can go for run or walk there. During the night wild animals (mainly elephants) are comming there from jungle in mountains. But if you come there only during day and listen to local people, you are safe.

Employer was a Karunya university of technology and science. University with cca 8000 students.

My work was about development of algorithm for 3D print optimization, so coding, researching articles and applicable methods was my daily bread.

Total salary was 10,000Rs/month. Half of it paid university directly to acomodation, second half we get as a check, which we could cash in nearby bank. If you would spend only for food you can make it with 5,000Rs. If you would like to travel, buy souveniers, eat sometime in nice restaurants, you have to pay of your pocket.

At work offer was required C1/C2 english level. In my opinion its not required. In daily communication you can make it with very simple english and basic words. For locals is english also kind of second language so don't expect you will be the worst.

We were accommodated at Karunya Guest House, on one corridor with another IAESTE interns. Price was approx. 5,000Rs/month which was paid directly by university. Everything according accomodation arranged local IAESTE.

Local IAESTE organization was very helpful in all situations and arranged everything we needed. They picked me from airport and first days I felt as a guest who don't have to arrange anything. Everything was arranged by them.

At time of my internship another 8 interns was there. We travelled together and spend a lot of nice time together. To meet not indian culture, but also another world cultures was one of the best things about my internship.

At a campus there are gyms and athletic fields. Also every afternoon a lot of students are outside and doing various sports. They are very welcoming and are happy if you join them, so you can try a lot of sports.

The most of local food is rice and chicken and variations of the two basic ingredients. Local food is relatively spicy but this is something you can get used to (if you want and push yourself a little).

At all objects of university and accommodation is wifi. Problem of this wifi is that almost whole internet is blocked by default and only few webs are enabled. So mostly i used google meet for videocalls to Czechia. Also in India is relatively cheap mobile data. So I had sim with 2GB per day for 2EUR/month..

Don't expect europe-like cleanness of streets, restaurants, toilets, its India.

Laptop- in work offer was not written that for work I will need personal laptop.

In lifestyle area this internship was time for myself. I let behind almost all duties from Czechia and had a lot of time for myslef.
In work area it was for me about applying theoretical knowledge from my Czech university in reality of some project.

Everybody was very helpful and all communications were smooth.
