There were a lot of foreign students at the department (PhDs, masters working on thesis etc...). We had a wonderful group at my workplace as well. A lot of other Erasmus students at the university.
Sport and culture
Climbing is popular in Sweden, I went to the climbing hall regularly with my colleagues. There are great parks for running around the city as well. Bike can came in handy as there are many bike lanes on the roads and most of the city is flat. Go to Liseberg amusement park and enjoy some fun.
Food, local specialties
Fika break for coffee and some sweets. Visit one of the espresso house branches and get a coffee and a cake, or Da Matteo branches.
