Field work - measurement of greenhouse gases at peatlands

Accommodation was found by IAESTE Germany, I paid 280 euros for a room in a nice apartment
Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
I was picked up at the train station, we went for a beer a few times and IAESTE organised other events (botanical garden, watching a movie)
Meeting other foreign students
There was another intern from abroad at my working group + IAESTE members , otherwise I didn't have a contact with other foreign students and mostly spend time with my german colleagues.
Sport and culture
There is a bouldering hall and swimming pool in Freising, in summer you can also swim in the lakes nearby. If you like hiking you can reach the Alps in 2 hours. It takes 20 minutes to reach Munich.
Food, local specialties
Good beer, food - Kaiserschmarrn, Schnitzel, the cuisine is similar to Czech cuisine
