Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)

I had a meeting organised to make a bank account, but there were no further events organised.

Meeting other foreign students

There were four other IAESTE interns, but we were divided into two different dorms located on opposite sides of the city.

Sport and culture

Ljubljana offers many festivals during the summer. There are also a lot of possibilities for hiking and some indoor sports as well.

Food, local specialties

My personal favorites are burek and ajvar, although they are not purely Slovenian. Štruklji s another one that comes to mind.

Possibilites to communicate with the Czech Republic

Slovenia is close enough to come home for a weekend.

Recommendations for students who will go to the same place

There are a lot of facebook and whatsapp groups for Erasmus students, which is a great place to meet people. Also if you have the chance, bring a car, it will come in handy during weekend trips.
