Okolí místa praxe: I would reccommend a trip to desert for sure. Khor Fakkan is a nice town with beautiful surrounding areas and many hiking trails. Fujairah is a smaller town with very nice beaches. We went to Abu Dhabi for a weekend. Since Dubai is very close we used to spend a lot of time there. Some interns also went on a trip to Oman.

O firmě: Tokyo University of Science was my host institution. It is a large, well-established science- and technology-oriented university in Japan. I was employed as a research intern in the laboratory of Prof. Shinichi Saitō, which is a relatively small research group.

Sport a kultura: It’s a bit hard to do sports in the city, but you’ll experience a lot of local culture at the university, on the streets, and when buying food from street vendors.
