Okolí místa praxe: I took trips every weekend to nearby islands, like Lantau, Lamma and Cheung Chau, which offer a more relaxed atmosphere compared to the busy city. I also visited hiking trails in the New Territories, you can also see a lot of exotic animals there. I recommend visiting the temples to experience the Buddhist culture.

Náplň práce: The work was in form of a small forest survey with camera traps and was dependent on my own initiative. Which was cool. Learned a lot.

Místní kuchyně: As for the food, Indian cuisine was a real treat. Every day we had the opportunity to sample different dishes, from the milder flavours to the spicier ones, and we visited both traditional restaurants and local street food.

Sport a kultura: As the summer was very hot and humid, the best thing to do was indoor sports - the university had a sports centre that we could use at reasonable prices. However, the temperatures stay high even in the evenings, making it less comfortable for outdoor activities.
