Okolí místa praxe: Public transport system around Switzerland is overall very good so you can visit almost anything here. If you want to go each weekend and you stay for 6 months then I recommend monthly GA ticket which covers almost all public transport in Switzerland.
Must sees could be: Gornegratt, Pilatus, Rigi Kulm, Genevé, Montreux castle Chillon, salt mines de Bex, Lindt Chocolate Museum, Luzern...

O firmě: Alps Alpine, big international company working in many electronics branches. It is an corporate, so there are lot of corporate-ish rules and stuff. But as an intern it's ok, you mainly focus on your given task.

Náplň práce: The project was focused on developing different types of sensors. So I first started with literature research, then started designing. I also got to see how they are fabricated in the clean rooms. And also did some testing of their features as well as automated measurements.

Místní kuchyně: Food is very cheap here, you will always make it under 1 500 yen which is very pleasant. My most favourite was tempura, tsukemen, sushi and katsudon.

Sport a kultura: In the place of my internship running was possible and there were some good places for running. I did not try any other sport. I was lucky that I experienced some festivals in Japan and especially the one in Fujimino (the city where I stayed) which was an interesting insight to the culture.
