Okolí místa praxe: Hong Kong is very close and you can get there by bus or a ferry. All other close opportunities to travel are in Mainland China and getting a visa is not an easy process. Without being able to go to Mainland China visa-free you will probably get bored quite quickly. However, there is an airport in Macau and you can get affordable flights to other Asian countries such as Taiwan or Thailand.

O firmě: I worked at the architectural studio ARAU, led by Naoufel Douik. It was a small office with only the supervisor and two permanent employees. Besides me, there was also an intern from Tunisia. The atmosphere was friendly, the colleagues were amazing, but I did not have much direct contact with the supervisor.

Náplň práce: Everyday in the morning I met my professor and talked about previous day's work and what would be the plan for that day. Sometimes it took a lot of time sometimes I was finished by lunch. My work was about mechanical properties of plastics and its wood composites. I found my work very interesting and applicable later in my studies. My work was slightly different from what was in the o-form.

Sport a kultura: I used to go to the Womens Sport Complex at Main Campus at University. From medical campus where I worked I had to take a red line uni shuttle bus to get there. There was a gym and a pool. Other girls bought a membership in a gym across the road from our accommodation. We played padel, went karting, or iceskating in Sharjah. We also went to a cinema in Al Zahia mall.
