Čína - Hong Kong, Hong Kong
Okolí místa praxe: There are many great trips you can take. I recommend going to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha, or hiking the Dragon’s Back trail. The beaches at Sai Kung are beautiful. You can also take a boat to small islands like Cheung Chau.
Německo, Kaiserslautern
O firmě: I worked under one of the PhD student at the Chair of Thermodynamics at RPTU Kaiserlautern-Landau. I think it is a bit smaller university, but still with a lot of resources.
Japonsko, Tokyo
Náplň práce: Before my arrival I received three of four papers with different topics the Aoki lab focuses on. I was supposed to read them and when it was my first day, the professor explained the topics to me as well. Firstly, they asked me to carry out basic reactions (extraction of unknown compound, identification of the compounds and recrystalization - to make sure I have basic level of organic chemistry ...
Japonsko, Tokyo
Přínos praxe: Unique opportunity to work in an international environment which is very fascinating and so different from one you would experience in any of the Western countries. I loved getting to know the Japanese culture and really enjoyed the amount of respect people have for each other, really inspiring. Of course all the great Japanese food is a bonus.
Vietnam, Thai Nguyen
Místní kuchyně: Eating out is very cheap and the Vietnamese cuisine is really good. I tried many local dishes but my favourite is Bun Cha, Nem Nuong and Banh Mi
Japonsko, Tokyo
Sport a kultura: I brought my climbing shoes and swimsuit, but I have used them only couple of times. I mostly walked around the city or hiked in surrounding areas. For traditional sports like kendo or karate it is better to know at least basics of Japanese. There were multiple dancing festivals and fireworks during the summer to experience local culture.
