Okolí místa praxe: There are many great trips you can take. I recommend going to Lantau Island to see the Big Buddha, or hiking the Dragon’s Back trail. The beaches at Sai Kung are beautiful. You can also take a boat to small islands like Cheung Chau.

O firmě: I worked at the Research Institute of Medical and Health Sciences (RIMHS) at the University of Sharjah. My laboratory was Immuno-oncology. In the lab, there were some PhD. Students, research assistants, and a lot of master's students working on their thesis. At RIMHS, there is a wide variety of laboratories, and also some of my intern friends worked there.

Náplň práce: My o-form had only one sentence in it so I did not have any expectations about my work there. I was working under a PhD. student and helped her with her research for two months. We maily did RNA extractions and subsequent measurements. I also had an opportunity to try some data analysis.

Přínos praxe: learned a lot by watching people on the construction site and seeing how they calculated the materials they needed to order. I also got to know a bit more about their culture and how life works there. I met so many people from all over the world, and together we explored the country and made unforgettable memories.

Sport a kultura: I went hiking several times thanks to my professor and research group, it was also a great city for running and cycling. There were a lot of tennis courts and baseball fields around the campus but probably only for students that are a part of some univeristy club.
There were also a lot of shrines and temples that were worth visiting.
