Location of the place
Switzerland is a rather small country of 4 languages, numerous dialects, amazing alps, crystal clear lakes, cheese and the best chocolate in the world!
City
I stayed in a small city (Wallisellen) 15 minutes from Zurich old town and 10 minutes from my work (Schwerzenbach). Train and bus transportation in Switzerland is very convenient and easy to use with SBB mobile app.
Surroundings (possible trips, ...)
Hiking, wellness, sports, city sightseeing...anything you fancy within Switzerland or neighbor countries :)

Work description
I worked in Strategic Product Group Titration in the Global Headquarters of the company. In my team we had 3 global product managers and one marketing manager.
I was involved in many marketing and product management activities; my biggest project was focused on creating launch campaign and all sales and marketing tools for the new products. I learned a lot about business processes and international cooperation in this specific segment.

Salary (sufficient for local conditions?)
Sufficient for the needs of student, of course cooking my own meals was necessary, because the restaurants in Switzerland are rather overpriced. If your budget is managed correctly, you will have enough for weekend activities and trips.
Language requirements
In my office, we used English all the time. The rest of the company preferred Swiss German. The same for locals.
Accommodation (price, who provided it)
Provided by IAESTE Zurich, 700 CHF per one room/month in shared apartment.
Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
My Tutor picked me up upon arrival and helped me to get my public transport ticket and to the accommodation.
Meeting other foreign students
Weekly meetings of Zurich traineess every Thursday. Plenty of weekend activities organised by IAESTE especially during summer.
Sport and culture
Many possibilities for workouts, jogging, swimming etc. Cultural events are a bit difficult if you don't speak German.
In winter, you will be in paradise with the Alpes reachable within 1-2 hours :)

Food, local specialties
Fondue, raclette, and the best chocolate in the world - I recommend Laderach :)

Possibilites to communicate with the Czech Republic
Calls and roaming data overpriced, I recommend getting swiss SIM card with unlimited Data.
Recommendations for students who will go to the same place
Have some extra money for the first 2 months, you will spend approx. 1700 CHF/Month including accomodation, food, travelling and some beers :)
What not to forget with you
Hiking clothes and shoes, winter sports equipment.
Benefits of the internship
Experiencing really interesting country with beautiful nature and functional government.
The work tasks were quite interesting, I had a certain freedom to work on my ideas and different projects even with other departments. The people in the company were very friendly.
