Employer
Employer
Serah company. It has a little office in the city center. I think they have around 12 employees, small one. I had a classic work schedule: from 8 to 14 every work day.
Work description
I had around 1 drawing in AutoCAD for 3 days so I did it without problems. They were small and simple. Generally I rectified and finished old drawings. Usually it was some civil and water constructions.
Salary (sufficient for local conditions?)
I got for month 500TD and for this month I spent a little bit more, maybe around 600 (100 for dorm, 150 for restaurants, 350 for groceries)
Language requirements
All office workers, locals in touristic places and young generation can speak English well, but all others (by me it's ~80% of population) CAN'T.
Accommodation (price, who provided it)
It costs ~100TD (1000CZK) for a month. IAESTE organization provided it for us. It was relatively good for Tunisia (by me it's a little bit worse than Strahov dorm)
Social life
Meeting IAESTE members (pick-up at the airport, organized events...)
Almost everyday evening guys from IAESTE did for us some events. Every weekend we had one day trip by bus outside Tunis city to some other places
Meeting other foreign students
There were around 30-40 foreign students from Europe's country (Spain, Poland, Slovakia, Germany, Romania) and outside (Turkey, Iran, India, Canada, Tanzania, Oman). We all lived in the same building and spent free time together every day (on dorm, in city or at events)
Sport and culture
Once we played football near the dorm. That's all :D
Food, local specialties
Almost everyday I ate some local street food. Usually It was really fat and for this really tasty for me :)
