Work offered

Kind of work:
The intern will be engaged in creation of new foods suitable for sick patients in accordance to their tastes and energy requirements. These foods will be designed such that they can be easily integrated into the hospital's existing distribution channels. While it is important to eat right when you are well, its more important to eat right when you are unwell. While coming up with foods for such patients it is important to make sure that these foods are energy generating and help them in maintaining body weight, basically food that makes them feel better. These patients have to go through long hours of painful treatments, that affect their sense of taste (metal mouth) and smell. The intern will have to come up with new kinds of food made with new innovative processes and ingredients so that it adjusts to the change in the patient's taste perception and also caters to the energy requirements of the patient in that condition. The idea of hygienically pre-packaged foods, that can be easily available to them is a good way to help them consume better tasting snacks, for example pre-packaged nuts, baked chips, rusk, whole wheat tea cakes and cookies. These snacks will be different from their regular diet and will also be enjoyed by them as they get to taste slightly more flavored foods. This shall lead to an increase in the nourishment of the patient and may also help speed up recovery. These snacks will be ready to eat and would be accessed by the patient whenever they desire.
