Work offered

Kind of work:
DTU Nanolab is the Danish National Centre for Nanofabrication and Characterisation and is a core facility at the Technical University of Denmark. Our main task is to make sure that the state-of-the-art fabrication tools in our clean room are operational and available to our broad range of users from both academia and industry. As a member of the dry etch group, the successful candidate will mainly focus on the processing centered around the dry etch tools and will, as a result, gain detailed knowledge into this area of micro- and nanoprocessing. To support this work, any other tool or technique available in the lab may be used if deemed necessary. The tasks may include quality control or user instruction, but also projects involving
• Optimizing etch processes in silicon, dielectrics, III-V materials or metals.
• Characterization of etch results using scanning electron microscopes, stylus profilers, optical profiler, AFM (Atomic Force Microscope) or ellipsometer.
• Improving UV-lithography processes for dry etch purposes.
• Study of the performance of etch mask materials such as resists, dielectrics, metals or ALD coatings (thin fims deposited by Atomic Layer Deposition technique)
• Etching of nanostructures using patterning by E-beam writer or DUV stepper

The work is offered starting May or September 2019 but other starting dates are also possible.
